Huell Burnley Howser (October 18, 1945 – January 7, 2013) was an American television personality, actor, singer, voice artist, and comedian. He was best known for hosting California's Gold, his travel show based in Los Angeles at KCET for California PBS stations. The archive of his video chronicles offers an enhanced understanding of the history, culture, and people of California. Howser was also known as the voice of the Backson in Winnie the Pooh.

On January 7, 2013, Howser died in his home in Palm Springs, California of prostate cancer at age 67, 9 months shy of his 68th birthday.
