Kenny George is a former college basketball player known for his great height. At 7 ft 7 in (2.31 m), he was the tallest basketball player in the United States during the two years he played for his college team, the University of North Carolina at Asheville (UNCA) Bulldogs, and may have been the tallest player in the history of college basketball.
George is currently a senior at UNC-Asheville. He was academically ineligible his freshman year and then redshirted his sophomore year due to a knee injury.
In the 2007-08 season, George had a 70.6% field goal percentage.
In October 2008, George had his right foot partly amputated due to being afflicted with Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. This put a stop to his basketball career. There are rumours that he will return to basketball as a coach.
